FAWE is a Pan-African membership organisation which brings together influential women in education, including Ministers of Education, university chancellors and senior policy makers. Based in Kenya, FAWE’s goal is to close the gender gap in education at all levels. FAWE works to stimulate governments, donors and NGOs to increase their investment in education, particularly for girls. The organisation promotes the design of programmes that take into account the special needs of female students and builds public awareness of the advantages of female education.
