The Kenya Red Cross Society is an affiliate of the worldwide Red Cross movement. Created on the 21st December 1965, the society previously existed as a branch of the British Red Cross (1939 to 1965). Activities of the society are fashioned to meet the needs of communities country wide – programmes today are divided in four main areas: Disaster Preparedness and Response, Health and Social Services, Organisational Development and Finance and Administration.
