Rug n Art Studios Outreach Programme(RASOP) is a recently established project for women in Kenya. The project teaches women the art of weaving sisal to make baskets and rugs, and is based on an earlier initiative in Nairobi. The project uses locally available materials, and the women being trained can work from home while coming to the Studio for training and mentoring. RAS intends to set up an outreach programme that will address other issues affecting women and young people.
