Muslim Women’s Research and Action Forum (MWRAF) is a NGO established to address the critical issues facing Muslim women in Sri Lanka. It strives to create a greater awareness amongst Muslim women of their socio-legal status, to empower women to realise their full potential and to promote solidarity among professional women. It also provides a common forum for concerned and progressive Muslim women and men to come together for discussion and to take action on multi-disciplinary issues of importance to women in the community. MWRAF aims to create an active network with groups working on similar objectives at the local, national, and international levels.
