United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) New Delhi Office, the Organization’s first decentralized office in Asia was established in 1948. As part of UNESCO’s new decentralisation policy, UNESCO New Delhi was designated as a Cluster Office, which is a platform for delivery of all UNESCO activities and is multidisciplinary in nature. The New Delhi Office is now mandated to cover many Asian countries through multidisciplinary teams.
