South East Asia Investigations into Social and Humanitarian Activities (SISHA) is a registered Australian not-for-profit organization that strives
to ensure justice and the protection of human rights for victims of human trafficking, bonded labor, physical and sexual assault and other forms of exploitation and oppression in South East Asia.

SISHA’s mission is "to provide justice for victims of human trafficking and other forms of exploitation by strengthening the criminal justice system, and victim social and legal support services throughout Asia.ʺ

SISHA focuses the core of its work on combating human trafficking in Cambodia, which remains one of the poorest countries in the world, with social indicators which are among the worst in the South East Asian region. SISHA’s number one priority is to protect the welfare and to provide ongoing support to all rescued clients after they are removed from environments of exploitation. It also has a Legal Department which offers legal counselling and referral service for every client SISHA rescues, and which receives support from Baker and McKenzie, one of the world’s leading law firms, which provides invaluable pro-bono assistance to SISHA on a broad range of legal matters.

Besides that, the overarching goal of SISHA’s investigations work is to strengthen and reinforce local criminal justice systems to provide a credible deterrent to human trafficking and other forms of exploitation. To achieve that SISHA brings to South East Asia the highest standards of western police investigation techniques and cutting-edge evidence gathering technology while working in close collaboration with the Cambodian National Police in a culturally sensitive and appropriate way.
