Sri Saddhatissa International Buddhist Centre
Unverified non-profit organisation
Sri Saddhatissa Buddhist International Centre is part of the World Buddhist Foundation Charity and is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Buddhism through teaching and the organisation of cultural events. The Centre is closely linked to the Sri Lankan community and, following the Tsunami in 2004, has been involved in relief projects in Sri Lanka.
The Centre has two principal aims: to promote the understanding of Buddhism in the West, and to preserve the Buddhist culture among its supporters. Activities include mediation classes, Buddhist festival celebrations, daily religious service, inter-faith seminars, hospital/sick visits and lectures. There is also a lending library.
