Age Scotland is an independent charity acting in partnership with others as the national older people’s charity for Scotland in promoting a better quality of life for all Scotland’s older people, but giving greatest priority to those facing multiple and serious disadvantage in later life.
The charity works with older people’s groups and forums countrywide to address identified issues of concern and ensures older people’s voices are heard at local authority as well as globally through its lobbying, influencing and campaigning activities. It helps to build stronger communities through its Development Staff and Grants Programme. The organization also provides a helpline which is a source of confidential information available to older people as well as to those related to them.
