Bulgaria Humanitarian Customs Regulations
This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Bulgaria.

- certificate of origin.
Prohibited Goods
According to Bulgarian legislation, excise goods (such as alcohol and alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, perfumes, coffee, tea, some motor vehicles and the like, except ambulances and vehicles for disabled people) are not permitted entry into the Republic of Bulgaria as humanitarian aid.

PreShipment Application
The requirement for pre-shipment application depends on the organisation.
Monetary Valuation
Customs sometimes require monetary valuation for the shipment on an item by item basis, and sometimes for the consignment as a whole. No currency preference is specified.
Restrictions
Restrictions on some second hand goods and limitations re expiry dates are enforced. Contact the National Customs Agency in Bulgaria for information on specific items.
