The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is an international aid agency that works with communities and governments in 157 countries for the survival, development and protection of children worldwide. In Ukraine, UNICEF’s activities include lobbying for universal salt iodization, working with policy-makers to prevent human trafficking, improve social services for child living in the streets, promoting child health and development initiatives, and developing a new juvenile justice system.
