This foundation is based in Germany with branches throughout the world, including Kazakstan. They offer assistance to victims of natural disasters, nuclear testing, and political repression through provisions of financial, humanitarian and medical aid. The foundation is in the process of creating a treatment center for pregnant women whose health has been affected by nuclear tests and medical services to treat mothers and children with viral hepatitis. Proceeds from the subscription of their monthly magazine have been directed to orphanages. They also work to foster public awareness of issues that impact citizens’ health and living standards.
