Nuestra Casa Corporation is a shelter for the homeless, supporting and encouraging their clients on their way back into society. The organization provides affordable food and shelter for the homeless in Santiago and organizes activities to reintegrate them. These persons generate 51% of the home’s income themselves by doing various kinds of jobs. Nuestra Casa has three projects namely community residence, volunteer work, and street soccer as a social workshop which reach over 200 people and act as tools to overcome social exclusion and prejudice. Nuestra Casa is supported by local companies and private sponsors. They rely on the help of volunteers (including international volunteers) for their work of raising awareness about social exclusion and human rights, both through support and constructively geared activities.
