The Foundation provides help in the areas of: health care, especially AIDS through a special fund ‘secure the future’ (which has pledged more than US$115 for AIDS projects in Africa, most of which had already been allocated in late 2004), health education, and local community health and health education projects in the communities where BMS has operations. It also has a programme where it donates goods in kind (US$46 million in wholesale value donated in 2004) Goods donated only through US registered charities.
