The Izumi Foundation seeks to address the root causes of human suffering. Its mission (within the framework of the goals of Shinny-En USA), is to alleviate human suffering through improved health care. The Foundation is particularly interested in helping the poorest and the most vulnerable members of society.

The Izumi Foundation works with promising, practical innovations that reduce the burden of infectious disease while also strengthening the ability of communities to keep children and families healthy.
We support projects in five areas:

infectious diseases with high morbidity and mortality neglected tropical diseases malnutrition maternal and neonatal health and health care infrastructure
