The “International Plácido Domingo Children’s Charity e.V.” is connected to the Children’s Charity based in Milan. Work includes organising long-term projects and other activities in the poor countries of the world, with a specific focus on addressing the basic needs for nutrition and clothing, hygiene, medical care, school education for small children, vocational training for young people, help for families, and help for children with physical or mental handicaps, emotional or social problems. The Domingo Children’s Charity supports individual cases as well as groups and institutions caring for children. In addition to international relief projects, the Domingo Children’s Charity also funds music therapy (sound therapy) for children who benefit from this type of approach, and works towards advancing and expanding this form of treatment in both its medical and social applications.
