R.E.A.C.T. Indonesian Earthquake
Thousands were killed in Indonesia as a result of the earthquake which struck central Java. Thousands more were made homeless. Relief and reconstruction efforts are underway and ongoing assistance will be needed.

Would you like to donate product to NGOs who are responding to this crisis?
You are welcome to place an offer of goods on the Global Hand site. Validated Global Hand members will be able to respond to your offer and use the goods in an appropriate and responsible manner. Please indicate in the description of your offer that you would like the goods to go to Indonesian Earthquake relief.
Alternatively, you may wish to search Requests that have already been made on our site in response to the disaster.

The following goods have been deployed or requested in response to the emergency.
- IMMEDIATE NEEDS: water, hygiene kits and temporary shelter (tents)
- Heavy earth-moving equipment for removing debris
- Generators
- Tarpaulins
- Jerry cans
- Emergency toilets
- Orthopedic equipment, orthopedic medicines and orthopedic personnel
- Family household kits (cooking utensils, plastic sheeting, tools, torches stove and jerry cans)
- Temporary learning spaces; education kits (textbooks, pencils, crayons, paper); teacher kits (teaching supplies, chalk, paper etc)
