As part of UBS’s global response to 2004 South Asian tsunami, a select number of charity partners were chosen by UBS for a further grant to support rebuilding efforts in the southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Giving UBS’s good relationship with WaterAid, WaterAid was one of those to receive extra funding.

The Tamil Nadu project covers five relief shelters, ten villages and twenty seven schools and will help over 50,000 people gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education.
