This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Papua New Guinea.

- permits from responsible agencies where required on selected items;* certificate of origin.

Tax Exemption
All humanitarian goods provided the beneficiaries are registered agencies carrying providing humanitation services in the country.

Monetary Valuation
Monetary valuation on the shipment is required in all cases.
Restrictions
There are restrictions on second-hand clothing and on some foods.

Humanitarian agencies should deal with government agencies and other registered and reputable agencies involved in the field.
