Azerbaijan Humanitarian Customs Regulations
This document was submitted in response to a questionnaire distributed by Global Hand regarding humanitarian customs information. It provides regulations for importing humanitarian aid into Azerbaijan.

Prohibited Goods
Import of certain goods can be prohibited for reasons such as the protection of interest of the Azerbaijan consumers, morals of the population, life and health of the person, and conflict with other interests on the basis of legislation and international contracts of the Azerbaijan Republic. Please contact the Commission on International Humanitarian Aid, Republic of Azerbaijan for specific enquiries.
Tax Exemption
This is offered on humanitarian cargo.
PreShipment Application
International pre-shipment application for tax exemption should be made to the Commission on International Humanitarian Aid of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Monetary Valuation
Customs require monetary valuation for the consignment as a whole, in US dollar currency.
Restrictions
Foodstuffs should have an expiry date at least 6 months in advance, and 1 year in advance for medical products and medicines.
Other Info
Import of goods for humanitarian aid by organisations must, at the stage of customs clearance, be accompanied by the document of registration of an organisation in the Azerbaijan Republic. If there is no such document, the Commission on International Humanitarian Aid, Republic of Azerbaijan, should be contacted.
