It refers to legal issues relating to both donors and recipients. It recommends that drugs should appear on the national Essential Drug List, or if no list is available, on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Essential Drug List. The document also provides guidelines on expiration dates, packaging, transporting and storing medications.
