With offices in the United States and China, SHIC, Inc: Asian Health Services Exchange, is a charitable and non-profit organisation whose focus is on providing healthcare and welfare services to the poor, the elderly, the handicapped and orphans. Their work includes setting up healthcare clinics (providing basic healthcare and surgeries – including corrective surgeries), seminars to train Chinese health care providers, community development programmes, and orphanages. Gifts from donors such as office equipment, dental units, medical equipments, wheelchairs and clothing, are used to meet the needs in the clinics, offices and orphanages.
