Fundacion Los Pisingos is a Colombian non-governmental organiaation established to assist single mothers and their children. The Foundation runs two major projects: a maternity home for women from poor families, and an emergency centre which provides care for women fleeing from violence and domestic abuse (both psychological and medical help are offered). Los Pisingos additionally cares for and educates children from poor homes, with the eventual aim of reintegrating them back into their families.
