United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Tajikistan Office opened in 1994. Within the overall framework of its mandate, UNDP Tajikistan responds to national needs and priorities. Four broad focus areas to improve prospects for Tajikistan’s development include good governance, economic development, health and environmental management. These priorities are addressed through a number of projects implemented in partnership with national counterparts, key donors to Tajikistan, UN and other international organszations with a particular emphasis on sustainable development.
