United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a United Nation organisation that aims to reduce poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and discrimination against women by 2015. On the ground in 166 countries, UNDP uses its global network to help the UN system and its partners to raise awareness, track progress and advocate change to help people build a better life. UNDP promotes sustainable human development to help people build better lives. As the UN’s development network, UNDP draws on world-wide experience to assist China in developing its own solutions to development challenges. UNDP’s main focus areas in China are: poverty reduction, inclusive growth, rule of law, governance, energy, environment and climate change.
