The Maple Women’s Psychological Counseling Center(MWPCCB), Beijing, is a non-profit women’s dedicated to women’s cause. The center established the first women’s telephone hotline in China, through which it provides legal and psychological support to victims of domestic violence. The Centre offers support to abused women by conducting research and publishing books, brochures and reports on domestic violence. It also has a focus on policy research and political lobbying on issues such as women’s employment and political participation, domestic violence, sexual harassment and community intervention.
