Mercy Corps is an international humanitarian agency whose goal is to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Believing that communities must be the agents of their own transformation for change to endure, Mercy Corps helps local citizens work together to find solutions to their problems and enables local organisations and institutions to implement projects that will improve local quality of life.

Mercy Corps Tajikistan is working with communities, government and the private sector to prevent conflict in border regions, deliver clean water to rural areas, promote better nutrition and health, and provide small loans to women entrepreneurs.
