Mozambique Red Cross Society (MRCS), affilaited with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, aims to strengthen the capacity of the most vulnerable populations in disaster prevention and disaster response; play a major role in the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic through prevention and provision of basic health and social support to people affected by HIV/AIDS; and, improve health conditions and the social well-being of the populations through promotion of community-based health and social support.
