United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) - Philippines
Unverified non-profit organisation
UNICEF is an agency of the United Nations devoted to serving the world’s children. UNICEF began providing assistance to the Philippines in November 1948. Since then, we and the Philippine government have been partners in protecting Filipino children. They aim to provide the best quality of life for every Filipino child through programmes that help them survive and flourish.
They implement programmes covering education, health and nutrition, HIV and AIDS prevention, child protection, communication, and local policy and institutional development. They support the Child-Friendly Movement, which engages all levels of government, non-government partners, civil society, other United Nations agencies, and children themselves.
They are the world’s leading child rights advocacy organization. Their global experience and mandate allow us to influence and support decision makers to create a world fit for children. Their expertise and commitment help the Philippines meet the challenges facing children and those who safeguard them.
