Founded in 1954, the Hong Kong Christian Council (HKCC) is an ecumenical council committed to building closer relationships among all churches in Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas. HKCC organises volunteer training programmes, has built many sanctuaries, housing for the poor, shelters for domestic workers, develops environmental study materials and contributed to back-to-school programmes. With the help of its council members, HKCC provides schools, hospitals and social services to the population.
