The Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS) is a voluntary organisation working towards the development of an ideal habitat for communities (sustainable and safe). The large network of volunteers are involved in various relief missions including: Gujarat Earthquake: Immediate Relief and Planning, Gujarat Earthquake: Village Rehabilitation Program, Urban Earthquake Safety Initiative, Community Fire Safety Program, and Orissa Cyclone Relief. SEEDS is also very involved in various research and advocacy missions: Global Earthquake Safety Initiative, Learning Lessons from Gujarat Earthquake, National Disaster Management Plan Inputs and The Private Sector and Natural Disaster Reduction. The group further contributes to the community by promoting public education and training as well as consulting governmental agencies during environmental crisis situations.
