Alkhaimah:The Association for Education & Development is a grassroots NGO established in Israel by the Bedouin community in Taibeh. The programmes run by the Association help parents to become more involved in their children’s education and also help the whole community to become aware of the importance of education, in particular the education of its daughters.
Alkhaimah is also setting up Learning Centres in Arab villages in order to expand its educational programmes and activities for girls and boys and to strengthen education in these areas. The organisation believes strongly in the empowerment of women as agents of change in the community.
