Towards a Safer World is a global initiative to capture the lessons that were learned from preparing for an influenza pandemic, and inspire leaders to apply those lessons and best practices to continuing and emerging threats.

TASW hopes to gather ideas from practitioners in order to advance knowledge of best practice in preparedness. Disaster and pandemic preparedness practitioners are encouraged to join the discussions on the website in order to deepen the ideas about better preparedness that will be disseminated and discussed at the TASW conference in Rome on 15-16 September.

The TASW initiative is led by the United Nations System for Influenza Coordination (UNSIC) and funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
