Plan works at the grassroots in 50 developing countries to empower communities to overcome poverty, with a particular focus on working with children to reach their full potential.

Plan Australia’s areas of focus for children includes early health and development; education; water, sanitation and hygiene; sexual health; child protection; child participation; and disaster response.

Plan Australia works specifically in community development through child sponsorship programs, a wide range of training and educational programs and also advocacy campaigns. Plan Australia has priority projects across Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
