The Victoria Empowerment Programme (VEP) is a local NGO based in Bukoba Municipality, Tanzania. The organisation aims to support women prisoners and thus to help them live their lives without further criminality. VEP also aims to improve prison conditions generally. The organisation is currently raising funds to set up a tailoring training project for women prisoners that will assist them to acquire skills that will be useful after release.
