The Global Poverty Project

Unverified non-profit organisation

The Global Poverty Project is an Australian initiative that aims to inspire everyday people to join the global movement to end extreme poverty. The Project has developed 1.4 Billion Reasons – a presentation which is travelling the world, aiming to inspire and empowere audiences. The Project focuses on communicating issues and enabling action in the general public.

Specifically, the Project hopes to persuade nations to achieve 0.7% in foreign aid, to measure the quality of the aid against the achievement of poverty alleviation and the Millenium Development Goals, to improve and develop fair and balanced trade relations, and to support the effective funding and implementation of the Millennium Development Goals through government, NGOs and the private sector.
