The Association for Women’s Promotion and Endogenous Development (A.W.P.E.D) is an association Congolese women which supports the promotion and the protection of woman, young girls and children in the South Kivu province, Democratic Republic of Congo. The Association aims to help women and children who are victims of wars and to contribute to the amelioration of their social, health and economic conditions. The Association works on a range of issues including human rights, maternal health, AIDS and malaria, peace, sexual violence, and education and income generation.
