Established in 2011, Foundation for Development and Relief Africa (FIDRA) formally known as FDR AFRICA is a community based local organization situated in the post conflict affected Northern Uganda. The organization has committed itself and built a solid reputation focusing on eradicating poverty, fighting against HIV/AIDS, advocating for gender equality, advocating for Rights of Women and Children, promoting
access to education and strengthening health service delivery in Northern Uganda.
FIDRA is based within the grass root community to enable better understand community challenges, have better program design and to share the success and commitments the teams put to work. With the help of Vitamin Angels USA and Birthing Kit Foundation Australia, FIDRA continues to combine theoretical knowledge with practical information on improving the lives of pregnant women, youth and children from the most disadvantaged and underprivileged communities in Northern Uganda.
